1. Verantwortliche Stelle

Die verantwortliche Stelle für die Datenverarbeitung ist:

Il Capriccio Catering & Event-Service
Inhaber: Jonathan Di Giacomo
Mehlstraße 16

Deutschland
Telefon: 017662419356
E-Mail: info@caterino.app

Ein Datenschutzbeauftragter ist nicht bestellt.

3. App-Backend (Firebase / Google Cloud)

Für die App und zentrale Funktionen der Plattform nutzen wir Dienste von Google Firebase / Google Cloud (Google Ireland Limited bzw. verbundene Unternehmen), insbesondere:

  • Firebase Authentication (Registrierung und Anmeldung)
  • Cloud Firestore (Datenbank, z. B. Profile, Anfragen, Chats/Nachrichten)
  • Firebase Storage (z. B. Profilbilder, Datei-Uploads)
  • Cloud Functions (serverseitige Verarbeitung, z. B. Benachrichtigungen, Freischaltungen, Kontoprozesse)

  • Name / Anzeigename
  • E-Mail-Adresse und Passwort (Authentifizierung über Firebase)
  • Telefonnummer (optional bzw. zur Verifizierung)
  • Rollenbezogene Profildaten (z. B. Kunde, Caterer, Location)
  • Unternehmens- und Angebotsdaten bei Anbietern (z. B. Firmenname, Adresse, Beschreibung, Leistungen, Preise, Verfügbarkeit, Bilder)
  • Zustimmung zu AGB/Datenschutz (Zeitstempel)

Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO. Die E-Mail-Verifizierung und ggf. Telefon-Verifizierung dienen der Sicherheit und Missbrauchsprävention (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO bzw. lit. b DSGVO).

Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO. Weitere Informationen: https://stripe.com/de/privacy

9. Push-Benachrichtigungen

Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO. Die Einwilligung können Sie in den Geräte-/App-Einstellungen widerrufen.

EU). Dabei können technische Diagnosedaten verarbeitet werden (z. B. Gerät-/App-Informationen, Zeitpunkte, Fehlerberichte, ggf. Nutzer-ID in technischem Kontext). Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (berechtigtes Interesse an sicherer und fehlerarmer Software).

Dabei werden u. a.

Dabei können u. a.

Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO (Einwilligung), hilfsweise Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO bei bloßen Verlinkungen
Arten verarbeiteter Daten: u. a. IP-Adresse, Browser-/Geräteinformationen, Nutzungsdaten

21. Keine Marketing-Newsletter

Privacy Policy

Convenience translation. The German version above prevails.

This privacy policy applies to the website https://caterino.app and the mobile app Caterino (iOS/Android). The responsible provider is Il Capriccio Catering & Event-Service.

1. Controller

The controller responsible for data processing is:

Il Capriccio Catering & Event-Service
Owner: Jonathan Di Giacomo
Mehlstraße 16
55234 Framersheim
Germany
Phone: 017662419356
Email: info@caterino.app

No data protection officer has been appointed.

2. Website hosting and server log files

Our website is hosted by an external provider: IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany.

When you visit the website, the web server automatically records data in server log files, including in particular:

  • IP address of the accessing device
  • Date and time of access
  • Name and URL of the retrieved file
  • Referrer URL
  • Browser and operating system used

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the stability and security of the website). Where required, a data processing agreement is in place with the hosting provider.

3. App backend (Firebase / Google Cloud)

For the app and core platform functions we use Google Firebase / Google Cloud services (Google Ireland Limited or affiliated companies), in particular:

  • Firebase Authentication (registration and login)
  • Cloud Firestore (database, e.g. profiles, requests, chats/messages)
  • Firebase Storage (e.g. profile images, file uploads)
  • Cloud Functions (server-side processing, e.g. notifications, unlocks, account processes)

Our Firestore database is configured in the EU region (eur3). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (secure and stable provision of the platform). Where required, data processing agreements with Google are in place.

4. Registration, user account and profile data

An account is required for essential functions. Depending on use, we process in particular:

  • Name / display name
  • Email address and password (authentication via Firebase)
  • Phone number (optional or for verification)
  • Role-related profile data (e.g. customer, caterer, venue)
  • Business and offering data for providers (e.g. company name, address, description, services, prices, availability, images)
  • Acceptance of Terms / Privacy Policy (timestamp)

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Email verification and, where applicable, phone verification serve security and abuse prevention (Art. 6(1)(f) or (b) GDPR).

4a. Directory listings without registration

We may process publicly available business data (e.g. name, address, phone, email, website, high-level service details) for claimable directory listings even if the business does not yet have a user account. The purpose is so that customers can find businesses and so that requests can be forwarded to the publicly listed contact address. The source is publicly available information, such as a website or legal notice. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a findable directory of publicly known business contacts).

The business can request a correction, claim the profile in the app, or object to the publication. An email to info@caterino.app is sufficient. After a short check we usually remove the listing promptly. If the owner claims the profile and then deletes the account in the app, the listing no longer appears in search or the directory and is not created again automatically.

5. Requests, marketplace, chat and contact unlock

If you create requests, receive offers, apply to requests or use the marketplace, we process the content required for that purpose, e.g.:

  • Request data (event details, location, date, guest count, budget, messages, attachments)
  • Matching and status information
  • Chat / message content between users
  • Application and unlock status

To fulfil the platform purpose, relevant request and profile data may be transmitted to suitable providers (caterers/venues) or made visible to them. Contact or detail information may become visible especially after an unlock, interaction or acceptance within the platform function. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

6. Location and address data

With your permission, the app may use location data to show caterers and venues near you. Addresses may also be stored for search and requests. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent for device location) or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contractual use of entered addresses). You can revoke location permission in your device settings.

7. Photos, media and uploads

If you upload profile images, gallery images or files (e.g. PDFs), we store them to display your profile or process your request. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

8. Payments and credits (Stripe)

For purchasing credits / Connects (e.g. to unlock leads) we use Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. or affiliated companies). Payment data is processed directly by Stripe. We generally do not store full credit card data ourselves, but process status and billing information (e.g. purchased credits, transaction status, technical payment references) as needed to provide the service.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. More information: https://stripe.com/privacy

9. Push notifications

With your consent we send push notifications via Expo/Apple/Google services. These are currently functional notifications (e.g. about requests, messages or relevant account/marketplace events), not newsletters or marketing emails. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can revoke consent in the device/app settings.

10. Error and crash monitoring (Sentry)

For stability and error analysis we use Sentry (function region including the EU). Technical diagnostic data may be processed (e.g. device/app information, timestamps, error reports, possibly a user ID in a technical context). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure, low-error software).

11. Analytics (Google Analytics and Firebase Analytics)

On the website we use Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited). In the app we use or may use Firebase Analytics. Usage and interaction data as well as online identifiers (e.g. cookie ID / app instance ID, truncated IP address where configured) are processed to understand usage and improve our offering.

Where cookies or similar technologies are not strictly necessary, they are used on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). Without consent, these analytics tools are not loaded, or not loaded to the extent requiring consent.

12. Google Places / Maps

For address search, place data and, where applicable, business/rating references we use Google Places / Google Maps services. A connection to Google may be established and, in particular, the IP address and search/location information may be processed. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR; where required, consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR / Section 25 TDDDG.

13. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies on the website. Technically necessary cookies are required for operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR or Section 25(2) TDDDG). Analytics, marketing and certain embed technologies are used only with consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). You can also restrict or delete cookies in your browser.

14. Contact form and email contact

If you contact us via a contact form or by email (info@caterino.app), we process your details to handle the enquiry and follow-up questions. Data is not shared without a legal basis. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR.

15. Social media (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube)

Content or links to social media services may be embedded or used on the website and, where applicable, in the app, in particular Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube. Providers are, depending on the service, Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, TikTok Technology Limited or Google Ireland Limited (YouTube) and affiliated companies.

When embedded content is loaded, a connection to the provider’s servers may be established. Among other things, IP address, browser/device information, visited pages and access times may be transmitted. Where technically possible, consent-required embeds load only after your approval via the cookie/consent banner.

Purpose: presenting our presence and content
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent); alternatively Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for mere links
Types of data processed: e.g. IP address, browser/device information, usage data

16. Recipients and processors

Personal data may in particular be shared with the following categories of recipients:

  • Hosting and IT providers (e.g. IONOS, Google Firebase/Google Cloud)
  • Payment providers (Stripe)
  • Push and infrastructure services (e.g. Expo, Apple, Google)
  • Analytics and monitoring services (Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Sentry)
  • other platform users, where required for the respective function (e.g. providers for requests)

Where legally required, we conclude contracts with processors pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

17. Transfers to third countries

Some providers may also process data outside the EU/EEA (e.g. USA). Where no adequacy decision applies, transfers are based on appropriate safeguards (in particular Standard Contractual Clauses) and additional protective measures of the providers. Details are set out in the providers’ privacy information.

18. Storage period

  • User account and profile data: generally for the duration of the account relationship
  • After account deletion: retention usually up to 12 months where required to prevent abuse or fraud, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), unless longer statutory duties apply
  • Requests, chats, marketplace data: for use and processing and thereafter within the stated periods or statutory retention duties
  • Payment and accounting-related data: according to statutory retention periods (in some cases up to 10 years)
  • Website server logs: usually short-term, unless longer retention is required for security
  • Consent data: for as long as the consent is valid and evidence is required

19. Account deletion

You can delete your account in the app. After deletion is completed, related data is removed or anonymised unless statutory or legitimate retention grounds (see storage period) prevent this. If an owner has claimed a directory profile, deleting the account removes the listing from public display. The listing then no longer appears in the directory automatically.

20. SSL/TLS encryption

Website and app communication use encryption for security (HTTPS or encrypted connections). An encrypted website connection is indicated by “https” in the address bar.

21. No marketing newsletters

We currently do not send newsletters or marketing emails. Functional messages (e.g. push about requests) remain unaffected.

22. Rights of data subjects

Within the statutory framework you have in particular the following rights:

  • Access (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • Withdrawal of consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)

To exercise your rights, an email to info@caterino.app is sufficient.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. In particular:

The State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Rhineland-Palatinate
Hintere Bleiche 34
55116 Mainz
Website: https://www.datenschutz.rlp.de

23. Obligation to provide data

Without certain data (e.g. email for registration), use of the platform is not possible or only possible to a limited extent. Purely voluntary information is marked accordingly or follows from the respective input process.

24. Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this privacy policy if the legal situation, services or our offering change. The version published at https://caterino.app/datenschutz applies.
